Thank you to all the volunteers who planted or cared for the Village Flower Tubs. They look lovely!!

Winterbourne Parish Council: Next meetings Thursdays 25th September and 23rd October at 7.30pm in the Ron Burton Room of Winterbourne Glebe Hall. Parishioners are welcome to attend. There are three vacancies on the Parish Council, if you are interested in this role or have any concerns or something to report please contact the Parish Clerk on 07427 406943 or clerk-parishcouncil@thewinterbournes.org.uk

Community Days - Saturday mornings, 20th September and 25th October. Meet at 9am in the village playground car park, all ages welcome. To help, or suggest a job, please contact Nikki Palmer - npalmer-parishcouncil@winterbournes.org.uk

Annual Parish Footpath Walk & Scavenger Hunt: Sunday 21st September 2pm to 5pm. Meet at Winterbourne Glebe Hall to collect a footpath map and report form (to report back on the condition of the footpaths). A fun Nature/Scavenger Hunt is included. All ages and dogs welcome. JUMBLE SALE 6th September 2pm (change from 13th September), plus Raffle and Tea/Coffee/Squash with homemade cakesJumble can be left at the Glebe Hall from 9.30 to 11.30am. No electrical items. Proceeds to Glebe Hall and Salisbury Hospice.

GARAGE SALE in The Winterbournes SUNDAY 21ST SEPTEMBER 9am-1pm. On the day collect maps of participating garages from the GLEBE HALL. Parking, teas and homemade cakes also at the Glebe Hall plus TABLE SELLERS. Contact 07452 959525

Drop in Café: September 3rd, 17th, October 1st, 15th, 29th and every 2 weeks 2pm to 4.30pm. Winterbourne Glebe Hall. No charge but donations welcomed. IT support now available – bring your phone, ipad or laptop for free advice.

LEGOFEST: Saturday 18th October 10.30am – 4pm. Winterbourne Glebe Hall. Entry £2, under 5’s free. Fantastic models and layouts. Lego to play and to buy. Refreshments.

Bourne Valley Link SchemeSaturday 27th September 10.30am at Idmiston Memorial Hall, Porton. AGM plus Coffee Morning & Raffle and a short talk from “Wiltshire Sight” who provide local support for blind and partially sighted people. VOLUNTEERS ALWAYS NEEDED. Choose your availability. Bourne Valley Scout Group: Got a taste for adventure? Ready to push yourself, make new friends and do stuff you’ll remember? Bourne Valley Explorers is BACK from 9th September - and it’s built for ages 14-18yrs who want more than just the usual and to learn new skills for life.
