Winterbourne Parish Council: Meet the third Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm in the Ron Burton Room of Winterbourne Glebe Hall on 18th June and 16th July, (no meeting in August). Parishioners are welcome to attend. After the May elections we now have 6 Councillors: Roy Judd - Chairperson; Charlie Bruce-White - Vice Chairperson; Joy Harrison; Nikki Palmer; Ben Mackie & Steve Palluel. Winterbournes’ Fete: Opens 12 noon, Saturday 5th July, on the Glebe Field and in the Glebe Hall. Hog roast, BBQ, Beer tent, Bottle Stall, Vintage Vehicles, Friendly Dog Show and much more. Please bring CASH, no cards can be accepted. Further information from your Rector revpeterbvt@gmail.com

Glebe Hall: Next Jumble Sale 13th September. Volunteers are needed to help with fund raising events, make cakes, help at the Café and assist with light maintenance tasks. Newbourne Players: Bringing the joy of theatre to the Winterbournes. We are holding open auditions for anyone 18 and over for our Christmas Pantomime, ‘Treasure Island’, on Wed. 16th July at 7.30pm and Sunday 20th July at 2pm at the Glebe Hall, Winterbourne Earls. Bourne Valley Methodist Church, Winterbourne Dauntsey: Bourne Cafe Saturdays 2th July and 9th August 10-12 noon. Afternoon Tea at Kirkee, Gomeldon Road, W. Gunner. SP4 6OR. Saturday 19th July, 2 to 4pm. Donation for refreshments.

Petanque Club: All ages welcome to come and play/have a go at the Winterbourne Arms car park on Friday early evening or Saturday afternoon. Two Club teams play in the local Hopback Friendly Petanque League on Tuesday evenings from April to September.

Winterbourne Cricket Club: New Ladies/Girls team in ‘Soft Ball’ format. If interested contact womenscricket@winterbournecc.com Men’s and Junior (11 to15 years) teams playing in County competitions and ‘All Stars Dynamos’ (7 to 10 years) are developing on Thursday evenings at The Portway ground. Bourne Valley Scout Group: The Group has an opportunity coming up for someone to join our friendly and successful team of behind the scenes Volunteers. Does anyone have the skills to take and type up the minutes of our Committee meetings, this is only for approximately 6 times a year, plus those of an AGM? Bourne Valley Horticultural & Gardening Club: Running a Plant Stall at the Fete on 5th July. Donations of spare plants welcomed. Annual Show Saturday 19th July 2pm in the Glebe Hall. Next meeting Thursday 4th September, 7.30pm in the Glebe Hall

Bourne Valley Singers: Summer Concert & CreamTea Sunday 27th July 2.30pm in the Glebe Hall. with Michael Bower and Sue Grove. Proceeds Wilts & Bath Air Ambulance. Tickets will be available soon through Isa (igauld2011@btinternet.com) or 07976 436101

Winterbourne C of E Primary School: This term we are working with Bourne Valley Historical Society on local history projects. Visits to Sea City Museum by train and to the beach are planned.
